OREADE MUSIC started in Eindhoven, Holland in 1986 by importing music for relaxation and meditation .


There were two keys to success: one was finding excellent music and the other was finding excellent customers. The music comes from two sources: befriended companies abroad and artists from all over the world.

Over the past 20 years the range of music that Oreade offers has become quite wide and varied. In the beginning the music was primarily used for general relaxation and/or meditation, however, over the years the music has become increasingly specialized. We now offer music for a wide variety of different uses such as aromatherapy, chakras, Feng Shui, Kamasutra, Reiki, T'ai Chi and yoga. We have also become quite specialized in a few genres such as Mantras and pure nature sounds.

Always extremely selective about the quality and choice of a particular album that we release, we are proud to now offer over 300 different albums!

During some recent market research, customers indicated that there is so much music available from Oreade and other companies that they did not know where to begin in order to select music that was suitable for them.

In order to make it easier for customers to find the type of music they are looking for, we decided to divide our CDs into 6 major categories; Healing, Mantras, Body & Mind, Relaxation, Nature and World. Under each of these headings on our home page and in our catalogue you will find a list of the music that is available.

Oreade Music supplies the regular music trade, specialized bookstores, health food shops, wellness spas, yoga centers, individuals and mail order companies. Our export sales are the largest part of our business with sales within Western and Eastern Europe, but also to countries like Australia , Singapore and Japan.

In the USA and Canada , Oreade Music is available through a variety of distributors and our business continues to grow.

Also in most European countries, Oreade Music has distributors that serve the music trade and/or the so-called alternative market. We enjoy working with all of our trade partners.

In an ever changing world, Oreade has managed to build and maintain a rich catalogue of relaxing and uplifting music.

The company is now located in the center of Haarlem Holland, (just outside of Amsterdam ) working with a small but dedicated team. In the years to come, Oreade Music will continue to meet the demand for high quality music that inspires and provides a respite from our increasingly hectic lifestyles.
